Our little Prince

Here is a cute picture of Benjamin I took in the beginning of Feb. We love this little cutie-pie so much! It is amazing to us how much he has learned. I would say officially this week Benjamin is walking (90% 0f the time). He has really mastered walking! Everywhere I look I see him toddling all over the apartment--- even though he is sick. This past week he has been very sick. Last weekend we went to visit my parents in Wichita, and Benjamin came down with the croup. He also had a very high fever. When we got back in town, the next day ( tuesday) we took him to the Dr. The Dr. confirmed it was croup and took a blood test and it showed that it was only a virus. We felt like it had moved into his lungs, and visited to Dr on thursday-- and sure enough, he had a bad case of bronchitis, an ear infection and eye infection. The Dr had him do an X-ray to see if he had Pneumonia, but thankfully it hasn't gotten to that point yet. Friday he had a temp or 104 and it wouldn't go down until about 5 hours later. He seems to be feeling a lot better-- saturday he slept a lot and later "helped" me with the laundry (unfolding everything I fold and take it out of the basket) and with the dishes. Today he had two very good naps and busy with exploring/destroying the apartment, he even sat attentively through a couple of books. Tomorrow, we will go for another follow-up with the DR. Anyway--- that is basically what we have been busy with the past week. Rob has spring break this week and will be working from home-- which is a plus! He has grand plans of accomplishing a lot. We have also been enjoying a lighter/ less busy schedule the past week, which is wonderful and needful!
Hope all is well with you all! And i will try to be better at blogging.

Poor Benjamin, I hope he gets 100% soon! Oh, I would love to see him walking!
Spring break? Man, I am jealous... there is no such a thing at BYU, you probably remember that...
We are going to Brazil in June but unfortunately we are not having a lay over in Houston... the cheapest flight was through NYC. Well, we hope to see you someday again, somewhere in the US, Canada or even Brazil!
We really miss you all!

Elsa was toddling around the room when I was looking at this post, she saw Benjamin and walked over and with a huge smile on her face said "baby!"

I hope he feels better soon. That is so fun that he started walking, Elsa and Benjamin were only a week apart in starting walking. It is kind of weird...you have this idea of what your baby can do and understand and suddenly they move past that. It is amazing how much they just soak up and discover.

Thank you for emailing me the recipe. I was craving a good potato salad the other day and I remembered yours. Yum. I miss your good cookin! Anyway, love and miss you tons.

I hope he starts feeling better soon! It is so hard when they are sick and you can't do much to help them feel better. He has been through so much lately too! On a happy note, the birthday ice cream was so cute! Wish we lived closer so we could have been there. He is so cute.
