Tis the season

Our time spent with family over christmas was alot of fun! We enjoyed this year with my family in wichita kansas. As always, robert and I seem to hit bad weather when driving back to kansas. This year we left on December 22nd for kansas, and we though that coming from texas, instead of utah this year, there was no way that we would hit snow.... but coming through oklahoma was a different story. The 9 hour drive took us 14 hours.... driving 35 miles an hour through oklahoma to kansas. I was thrilled though, because being a canadian It just doesn't feel like christmas unless there is snow. So robert decided to live it up and take advantage of the snow and build a snowman--- Here are pictures of his masterpiece. The challenge was figuring out how everything would stick together when the snow was dry.....

Speaking of snowman-- for my kindergarten "fun Friday" activity and to celebrate the "holidays" my kinders made snowman out of paper-- super cute and the kids loved it. Well, I decided to teach them the primary song "once there was a snowman" with the actions. Kids at this age love singing and music.... its amazing how you can get their attention in an instant if you just start singing "wheels On the bus".. or somthing to get them to settle down in line. Well last week, my kinders were lining up to leave, and some of them called out " Mrs. weight can we sing the "snowman" song.. and then they just start singing away and doing the actions ..." Cute!!!! The assistant principal was walking by and thought it was just darling.... I am sometimes tempted to teach them "pop corn popping..." but living where i do... in the bible belt-- some may take it the wrong way.
